Nach Weinrich wird der anaphorische Artikel verwendet, wenn Vorinformation vorliegt, wobei drei Arten möglich sind: <br />
*kontextuelle Vorinformation (Vortext), <br />
*situative Vorinformation, <br />
*[[Vorinformation]] aus dem Sprach- und Weltwissen (414 ff). <br />

Dementsprechend sind bei der Verwendung des kataphorischen Artikels auch drei Arten der Nachinformation möglich bzw. erwartbar (417 f). <br />
