Allowing to add information about a living linguists life and contribution would potentially create big problems, because personality rights would be affected. By contrast, such information is appropriate for dead linguists, who can get a [[Glottopedia:Biographical articles|biographical article]].

Since such "articles" on living linguists are very brief, there is no need to have them in several different languages.
