Umgekehrt wird das Verhältnis eines Ganzen zu einem Teil [[Holonymie]] genannt.<br />
Man spricht also genau dann von einem Meronym, wenn dieses einen konstituiven Teil des jeweiligen Holonyms, des Ganzen, darstellt. Konstituiv bedeutet, dass durch diesen Teil das Ganze erst als solches existiert. Demnach wird umgekehrt auch bei der Betrachtung des Ganzen zwingend von diesem Teil ausgegangen. <br />
