Gender

Gender is used in a number of different senses:

• In sociolinguistics, it refers to the biological gender of speakers in a speaking community; see gender (sociolinguistics)
• In grammar, it refers to a subdivision of nouns that is relevant for grammatical agreement; see gender (grammar)
